Before comparing price, list where your team makes calls. Android SIM calls, iPhone calls, and WhatsApp calls are different requirements. CallSync and Salestrail do not cover them in the same way, so the first decision is coverage; the second is what your team needs after the conversation.
Start with the calls and phones you need to support
CallSync’s employee workflow tracks SIM calls on supported Android phones. It is suited to a team that wants customer call context in a shared dashboard while keeping its existing phone numbers.
Salestrail documents Android SIM and WhatsApp tracking, plus an iPhone workflow with a narrower scope: outgoing calls must start inside its app; automatic inbound and WhatsApp tracking are unavailable on iPhone. See its platform overview before treating “iOS support” as equivalent to Android tracking.
If WhatsApp tracking or an iPhone workflow is a requirement, CallSync’s Android SIM workflow does not replace it. If the whole team uses Android SIM calls, compare the shared record and integration path next.
The practical differences
| Requirement | CallSync | Salestrail |
|---|---|---|
| Android SIM calls | Shared call tracking and customer context. | Automatic call tracking. |
| WhatsApp calls | Not included in this tracking workflow. | Android tracking supported. |
| iPhone calls | No employee-app workflow. | App-initiated outgoing tracking; iOS limits apply. |
| Recording approach | Back up supported phone-created recordings. | Built-in recording or a separate Android recorder app. |
| CRM path | Custom API and webhook mapping. | Named CRM integrations and API options. |

For an integration, write down the destination record and required fields. “Works with a CRM” only becomes useful when the right customer receives the right activity without duplicate entries.
Compare monthly costs in one currency
| Monthly rate | CallSync | Salestrail |
|---|---|---|
| Base tracking | $5.99 / device | $8 / user |
| Recordings | $1.99 / GB of storage | +$3 / user for recording |
| API / CRM | $2 / device for API & webhooks | +$7 / user for CRM integration |
Monthly prices excluding taxes and discounts. Salestrail’s published monthly plan. Add-ons use different units and cover different services.
Base tracking is $59.90 per month in CallSync and $80 in Salestrail at these monthly rates. The example excludes recording and integration extras.
Recording storage per GB and a recording package per user are not interchangeable line items. Calculate your expected audio needs. Likewise, a custom webhook pipeline and a configured native CRM connector can require different implementation work.
Account for implementation work as well as the subscription
Salestrail lists connectors for Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, and LeadSquared on its CRM add-on. A team already using one of those systems should test how its activities and notes map into the existing sales process.
CallSync offers REST access and event webhooks for a custom workflow, plus an authorised connection for asking workspace questions through ChatGPT or Claude. The assistant connection serves interactive queries; it is not a claim of native CRM synchronisation.
For a custom integration, allow time for customer matching, call identifiers, recording updates, and failure checks. Include that work in the decision even when the monthly API rate is lower.
Choose using a coverage-first pilot
Begin with the hardest required case. If it is an iPhone salesperson, test that person’s exact dialing habit. If it is WhatsApp, test those calls. If it is a shared Android customer history, ask a second employee to find the first person’s conversation and continue the follow-up.
- Confirm the call types your team needs are captured.
- Play audio on the actual Android models where recordings matter.
- Check the final CRM activity if integration is required.
- Review work/personal boundaries with the employees.
- Compare the full recurring cost and setup effort.
Choose CallSync for an Android SIM team whose priority is shared call context, flexible add-ons, and optional AI review. Keep Salestrail in the evaluation when its documented channel coverage or CRM connectors meet a requirement CallSync does not cover. A product that misses the primary call channel is not the right replacement, regardless of price.
